Chat host Part-time job for English speaker


Textbooks and grammar lessons are unnecessary. The English activity consists of traveling to Arden share houses to play games or have practice conversation with the aim of giving participants more opportunity to practice English. We also recommend you get to know each other and make friends.

Compensation

  • Pay: ¥3,000 each activity. (each activity is 2 hours long)
  • Travel expenses: Up to ¥1,000 per trip.

Note: We can not accept applications from temporary visitor visa holders (tourist visa).

What to do?

An important part of an English activity is to have residents experience English conversation. English activities do not involve opening up a textbook or explaining grammar. Your mission is to remove the "fear of failure" and "shyness of using English" by letting residents experience the speaking English through games and conversations.

It's my first time and I'm worried about doing the activity well...

Don’t worry! Upon starting the job, we will provide you with a short introductory period of training.

My visa is temporary visa (Tourist visa). Still can I get this offer?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from temporary visitor visa holders.

How will I be paid?

The payment is due on the 20th of the month and will be transferred to your account on the 15th of the following month.

How much can I expect to earn each month?

It depends on how many activities you've done. Most chat hosts earn around ¥6,000 to ¥18,000 (plus transportation expenses). Some top performers consistently earn around ¥30,000.
